Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 21, 2026
INSURHAUS Inc ("INSURHAUS," "we," "us," or "our") is an independent insurance brokerage. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website, online forms, and the services we provide as your insurance broker.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, primarily through our quote, contact, certificate, claim, and payment forms. Depending on the products you ask about, this may include:
- Contact details such as your name, business name, email address, mailing address, and phone number.
- Quoting and underwriting information you submit, which can include details about your home, vehicles, drivers, business operations, property, payroll, revenue, prior claims, and current or prior coverage.
- Policy and service information, including the policies you hold through us, certificate of insurance requests, and claims you report to us.
- Payment information when you pay an agency-billed item online. Card payments are processed by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers on our systems.
- Technical and usage information collected automatically when you use our website, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and the pages you view.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Prepare, present, and explain insurance quotes and coverage options.
- Place, service, renew, and modify your insurance policies and respond to your requests.
- Issue certificates of insurance and assist you with claims.
- Communicate with you about your inquiries, policies, billing, and our services.
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website and services.
- Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and the requirements of the insurance carriers and regulators we work with.
How We Share Your Information
As an independent brokerage, the core of our service involves sharing your information so we can shop the market and place coverage on your behalf. We share information with:
- Insurance carriers, wholesalers, managing general agents, and program administrators in order to obtain quotes and bind, service, and renew your policies.
- Third-party reporting services used in underwriting, such as motor vehicle, claims history, and loss-run providers, where permitted and relevant to your coverage.
- Service providers who support our operations — for example, our payment processor, email and hosting providers, and analytics tools — under obligations of confidentiality.
- Other parties when you ask us to, such as a certificate holder or additional insured you direct us to add to a policy.
- Authorities or other parties when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect our rights, our clients, or the public.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your mobile phone number or text-messaging opt-in with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Cookies and Analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the site functioning, remember your preferences, and—only with your consent—understand how visitors use our pages and measure marketing. When you first visit, our consent banner lets you accept all, reject non-essential, or choose specific categories of cookies, and you can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie Settings" link in our footer. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal. For full details, see our Cookie Policy.
Data Security
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. We limit access to personal information to those who need it to do their jobs. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
Your Choices and Rights
You may request to review, correct, or update the personal information you have provided to us by contacting us using the details below. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws, such as the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and the right to opt out of certain communications. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in those messages. Please note that we may need to retain certain information to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations and to service your policies.
Your U.S. State Privacy Rights
Residents of California and other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws (such as the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA) have specific rights regarding their personal information, including the right to know, access, delete, and correct personal information; the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information; the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information; and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. In the preceding 12 months we have collected the categories of personal information described in "Information We Collect" above and disclosed it for the business purposes described in "How We Share Your Information."
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. To exercise your rights — including to opt out of any sale or sharing — visit our Your Privacy Choices page, where you can also submit a verifiable request. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a valid opt-out of sale/sharing. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights, and you may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.
Financial Privacy (GLBA)
As an insurance agency, we are a "financial institution" under the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA). We collect nonpublic personal financial information about you in order to provide insurance products and services, and we restrict access to that information to those who need it to serve you. We share nonpublic personal information with insurance carriers and service providers as needed to obtain, place, and service your coverage, and otherwise as permitted by law. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards designed to protect your nonpublic personal information.
Notice to European & UK Users (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your personal data on the legal bases of performing a contract or taking steps at your request, our legitimate interests in operating and improving our services, your consent (for example, for optional cookies and marketing), and compliance with legal obligations. You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. Where your data is transferred outside your region, we rely on appropriate safeguards. You may exercise these rights using our Your Privacy Choices page or the contact details below, and you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
SMS and Text Messaging
If you provide your mobile number and opt in, we may send you informational and account-related text messages — for example, quote follow-ups, policy and billing reminders, and service updates. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchasing any product or service. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out of further messages, or HELP for assistance. We do not share your text-messaging opt-in or mobile number with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.
Children's Privacy
Our website and services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of our website and services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
